The Fraser Valley Potters Guild held a very successful soda firing at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts. Many thanks to our president Cheryl Stapleton for all her work organizing the even and overseeing the fire. Other guild members helped with the loading of the work and spraying in the soda. All participants helped to unload the kiln and clean the shelves. Glazing and wadding too place on June 10, 2026. Loading took place on June 11, and soda sprayed in at around 3pm on June 12. June 16 was spent unloading and admiring the work, followed by a pot luck to celebrate the start of summer. The results were excellent, and many of us went home with prized examples of the soda fire magic.
